I have been wanting to dine here for a long time and I finally was passing through at a good time. To say the food here is “world class” would be an understatement. The staff have a perfect balance of engaging and chill. Fantastic atmosphere (I love the music in here). I was sat at the bar and served by Bamboo - great dude! Ordered Hitachino Nest’s red rice ale, I’m about halfway through my Pad Kee Mao (one of my favorite dishes overall and they prepare jt exceptionally) and I’ve already ordered a Panang curry to go (my neighbor at the bar ordered it and it smells/looks incredible). (Edit: snuck a bite of the Panang before I left... oh. My. God. ) If you have an opportunity to dine here and don’t... well don’t make that mistake! If I could come here a couple times a week I would! Only rated 5because I can’t rate 11

Absolutely love this place, very good Thai food. The people are very nice here and it feels kind of hidden and low key. The flavors are so good and unique but just make sure you're careful with the spice.

What a wonderful experience! Great Thai food; great service; great fun. We went to Glai Baan without reservations, not the best way, but know that they reserve some seats for drop-ins. The host greeted us warmly. It was about 4:30p, and all the inside seats for our group size (4 and a 3 year old) were taken so we were seated outside. A bit warm yesterday, 102, but we were shaded by a nice bougainvillea. The waiting staff was great and tended to us like we were family. The food is the best Thai we have experienced here in the Valley. We will definitely return!! Highly recommend.

This is still our favorite Thai restaurant, and overall favorite spot. The food is awesome, with very friendly and personal service. Everyone at this place makes you feel right at home every time we walk in the door. Ever time we've come in we're always greeted with such a warm welcome. Every dish we've tried is delicious, and we've almost tried them all. Great food! Great people! Great vibe!

So happy we ate here. Also very grateful they were able to get us in for my birthday. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was perfect. Huge thank you to Dan and Bamboo for a great evening.

Food was next level. Closest I’ve seen to Thai food outside of Thailand. The ambiance is fantastic, the music, the bar, the sign with the specials. The mussels had the most delicious lemongrass broth. The salad which was a daily special, was an eggplant salad with shrimp and a soft boiled egg with some peanut type sauce. Not really a salad lol but the best salad I’ve ever had. Stole the show. The khao soo was good, but the flavors were not quite what I had in Thailand, a little less nutty. The one thing about this place is the parking is horrible and it is hard to get in. We luckily didn’t have to wait, but there was barely one table open at a time on a Thursday at 1.

A Flavor-Packed Thai Gem – Small Spot, Big Taste! This place is such a fun little find! Super compact and cozy, but don’t let the size fool you—the food here is bursting with authentic Thai flavor and the vibes are great. Service was friendly, everything was reasonably priced, and every bite was a hit! Here’s what we tried: • Drunken Noodles – My personal favorite! Packed with bold flavor, Thai basil, and that perfect level of Thai-style spicy heat. If you love spice, this one’s a must. • Crispy Rice Cakes – A standout dish! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with a rich, savory sauce over bean sprouts. So satisfying. • Fried Rice Special – This was a nightly special and absolutely delicious. Made with pork belly, fresh herbs, and a grilled lime for that extra pop of flavor. • Siu Mai Dumplings – Juicy, garlicky, and comforting. Comes with dipping sauce and hits all the right notes. • Fried Chicken Wings – Crispy, flavorful, and served with a spicy dipping sauce. Great shareable plate. • Mango Sticky Rice – Classic and done right. Sweet, creamy, and refreshing—the perfect ending. And the cocktails? SO good. We tried a few, but the Pandan one stole the show—light, aromatic, and just a touch of sweetness. The butterfly pea flower cocktail was also beautiful and delicious. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. A hidden gem if you’re craving Thai with flavor, spice, and great energy.

I love trying different restaurants, especially ones with a nice atmosphere, and Glai Baan wins best food I've had in Phoenix so far. I highly recommend making a reservation. We came as a walk in and had to wait over an hour, but after trying the Panang Curry I would've waited three. We also tried the dumplings and Pad Thai, but the Curry was on another level. Service here is also top notch, everyone is incredibly friendly. If the main parking lot is full, the staff will let you know other locations to park.
